Hikaru Sakurai Twitter Archive: Maddened World Machine

(Note: This comes from one of many series of tweets Steampunk Series creator and writer, Hikaru Sakurai, wrote years ago on Twitter but have now been deleted. Fortunately, the tweets themselves have been archived, preserving them here where you can read the original.)

Drop Down.

I saw a dream.

There, I see my beloved Viceroy fall asleep. Reflecting off of my eyes there were supposed to be blind were the twinkling of stars.

The radiant stars all over resembled that of people's activities all over. In my eyes were countless fragments of feelings appearing and disappearing.

There, I see. Two giant lights. One that was clad in blue and black, yet had a hidden white glow. One that should have been absolutely golden, but did not radiate like gold.

...(There was darkness. Then, there was radiance)

There was a blue and black giant, a gigantic humanoid figure of over a hundred foot long. Its right arm was partially blown off, soaring high into the night sky.

It was a giant towering over the sea. Otherwise a giant god. Otherwise a false god. Its jet-black surface was surrounded in a light that radiated like pale blue scales.

It was something absolutely immutable. A form of a possibility that could be reached through the very limits of human work. However, the giant blue and black body that shouldn't be able to be crushed had lost its right arm. The right arm, having now turned into a piece of debris, fell to the surface of the sea and became a large pillar of water.

"I see. Now I'm quite certain of it."

He said as he sat inside the giant god. The False God. He who was certainly known as Universale had a voice filled with admiration.

Steel fists clad in lightning bolts. Vibrations emitted from its shoulders. The black torrent that rushses from its unfolded head. Even its extended hands. None of were able to reach "that". Some damage would have been able to occur, but the mechanism was different. The principle was different.

This wasn't something that was false. Indeed, this was certainly a "thing" out of the ordinary.

Standing before the blue and black giant's eyes was...no, it was a sky of despair that expanded though to veil over the entire sky. This was the influence of the madness of space-time, something that forced a lot of effort for the giants eyes to merely recognize its visual information.

"That thing's" name was Maddned World Machine (Pnakotic Phantasmagoria). It was something that doesn't exist in the world. It was something that shouldn't exist.

"...Old Ruler. It's so unthinkable of you to bring up something like this, Earth King. I suppose you think this isn't too much. But," While acknowledging the "pain" of the giant's blown arm as though it was his own, the man spoke. "Choosing the sea was a mistake, Rosenkreuz!"

The sea shook. It was the presence of something huge, shaking and writhing. It was something even bigger than the blue and black giant, the pressure of which was on par with the World Machine that filled the night sky. But.

The World Machine instantly expanded. Paradigm. The pressure of someone coming out of the sea, the "hidden hand" of the blue and black giant collides with the pressure of the World Machine. And...

Soon, the World Machine vanishes somewhere, leaving behind only silence in the night sea. Thick clouds returned to the sky.

There were no stars in the night sky. However. Surely. Someone's eyes were watching a single star radiate and fall somewhere. (The End)

This occurred earliest in March 1909. It was around the time of the final chapter.

(Setting Memo) In April 1909, it was rumored that Marie Curie, a graduate student, had inherited a part of the All Purpose King's inheritance managed by a certain foundation. When they "properly met", she shouted "this is a scam!".

Drop down.

"Careful. There's a big step here."

Said the woman. She was a woman in black and white. She had black hair, black eyes, a black dress, and crystal-white skin. A faint smile appeared on her lips.

"I thank you for the advice, but it's not something you should tell to a child."

Said the boy. He was a child with an intellect that was too profound in his eyes to be called as being clever. Although young, he had the air of a gentleman. Perhaps this was due to the clothes he had that gave him the appearance of a noble's child.

"Don't be so cocky. You're clearly a young child."

"My memory is still here though."

"Even so. You're still yet to be born, so be mindful of what you know. Now, careful with the steps."

The woman's voice was slightly teasing.

The boy merely shrugged his shoulders.

"I'd like for you to treat me a little more kindly, my dear Lisa. I had just finished a big task."

"I think we just lost in a big way."

"I think we did a pretty good job going against the World Machine. Though granted, I'm not quite good at Gigantic Fantasy Battles (Gigantic Storm)."

"Yes, that's correct. I guess so. So much of you has been removed, causing you to become this small."

The woman patted the boy on the head with an exaggerated look.

The boy looked around troubled,

"I guess so."

Is what he said.

"It seems my Omnipotence would be properly Omnipotent for some time. For now, Uomo Universale's possessions are to be given to the young and talented people."

"Is that the reason for it? Truly?"

"Of course."

"That female Scholar from Paris was beautiful. Of course, you are always caring for me."

The temperature in the woman's gaze drops.

Then, her pure white fingers extends...

"I wonder what we'll do from here on out?"

And pinches the boy on the cheek. She picked him up, never letting go either.

"Ouch!"

"Ah, that's right. Since when were you weak that I could pick you up so easily? After all, you were weak against the Golden King."

"Hey, put me down!"

After being played around for a while, the boy straightens his collar and mutters to himself as he fixes his tie.

"In any case," He looks up to the gray sky with a dazzled look on his face and spoke. "I have no choice but to be on the sidelines now. I wonder what will or will not happen from here on out..."

"Don't be so cocky. Just be grateful you still have your shape."

"I am grateful to you, my dear Lisa."

"Please don't say that anymore. It's not something a young child should say. So you shouldn't be saying that for a while."

"That's a difficult thing to do. I'm only speaking the truth."

"No, you are lying. Stop lying already."

The exchange between the boy and the woman continued on. However, that is all for now. (The End).

Surely you were a bystander from the start, no? (Quip)
